Principal’s Welcome

Our school culture is of paramount importance at Beaufort Secondary College. We strive for our students, families and staff to feel welcome, respected and connected within our learning environment. I often ask visitors, prospective employees and families what they think about our school after they have been shown around the grounds and in and out of classrooms. The most common responses include: ‘it’s calm and friendly,’ ‘the relationships are strong’ and ‘there’s a great vibe.’ Treating each other well underpins our ethos and all of our day-to-day learning experiences.

Our aim is to provide an inspiring learning environment that is engaging and provides the opportunity for students to achieve to the best of their ability in a culture that is safe, supportive and productive.

We specifically focus on Respectful Relationships, High Expectations and Excellence and our school values, beliefs and agreed expectations link directly to these areas.

We are fortunate to have attractive and purpose-built facilities that provide for all of our learning needs, with spacious grounds to complement our educational program, in a beautiful rural setting.

I personally really enjoy working with our students and our staff. The relationships across our school are strong and this is clearly evident in our daily interactions – there is obvious care for each other. Being around terrific people gives me energy and makes my role in our school extremely satisfying. We make a difference and have an impact. I am proud to be Principal of Beaufort Secondary College.
